The purpose of this role is to generate increased sales volumes by ensuring all enquiries, leads and development opportunities are maximized through making appointments for field-based sales colleagues and selling over the telephone where appropriate, along with servicing a set amount of existing clientele telephonically, thereby ensuring an excellent sales experience for all existing and potential customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- 1. Direct Sales & Outbound Support
- Conducts cold calling, qualifies prospects, and identifies sales opportunities to book appointments for field sales.
- Drives marketing initiatives, social media outreach, and quote follow-ups.
- 2. Customer Relationship & After-Sales Care
- Answers sales inquiries, identifies customer needs, demonstrates product benefits, and builds long-term relationships.
- Manages customer queries, resolves complaints, and provides post-sale support.
- 3. Deal Logistics, Quotations & Documentation
- Drafts quotations, contracts, and manages timely Tender/RFQ submissions.
- Routes custom pricing for approval and coordinates with Finance/AR on credit checks and invoicing.
- 4. CRM Maintenance & Operations Support
- Manages sales tools, updates records, and audits CRM data for accurate pipeline tracking.
- Maintains sales collateral, standard templates, and current price lists.
- 5. Sales Team Coordination & Administration
- Coordinates team activities, manages schedules, and handles departmental administrative tasks.
- Attends meetings and submits accurate sales activity reports on time.
- 6. Strategy, Market Research & Compliance
- Tracks business financials, monitors competitors, and compiles continuous market research.
- Generates sales reports using key business systems.
Requirements
Qualifications
- An associate’s or bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, or a related field preferred.
- 2 - 3 years experience in sales support administration, or similar.
- Experience with sales industry software and client relationship management (CRM) systems, or similar.
- In-depth knowledge of administrative recordkeeping practices.
- Familiarity with sales contracts and agreements.
- Working knowledge of managing budgets and keeping track of sales commissions.
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as customer service skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive approach toward problem-solving.
