This role in summary

The Account Manager will be responsible for ALL Brands (JennAir, KitchenAid, Maytag, Whirlpool, and Amana) at a Key Appliance Retailer within the Seattle region.  The account manager will be exclusively focused on driving growth in margin, revenue, market share, and unit volume for Whirlpool Corp. in both the retail and builder segments.

 

Reporting to the Director of JennAir Sales, this individual will be tasked with working across multiple functions within the organization.  The successful candidate will be tasked with applying a multi-faceted approach to delivering business objectives through building relationships and collaborating with customers, designers, architects, and influencers in their regional local market.  

 

The Account Manager will utilize insights-driven selling approaches and annual business planning to drive long-term strategic initiatives with a top account in the Seattle region. They are responsible for end-to-end delivery including strategy, execution, and achieving revenue/margin targets.

 

Candidates are expected to live in or near Seattle with regional travel to the client's site(s) as needed. Full relocation benefits offered to eligible candidates.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Develop and execute retail strategies with trade customers to maximize revenue, margin, and market share goals for the Whirlpool Corp brand portfolio.  
  • Develop and build a robust pipeline of new business within the builder segment of the local markets.  
  • Manage day-to-day activities with key trade customers including operations, forecasting, merchandising, displays, training, marketing, contract pipeline, and more.
  • Masterfully partner with our cross-functional partners (e.g. brand, marketing, product, and mass brand sales team) to find creative ways to win in the marketplace.
  • Negotiate and close profitable retail and builder sales, promoting key programming throughout the year.
  • Train trade partners on the features and advantages of Whirlpool Corporation's products.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in account management

  • Deep understanding of the luxury landscape (including beyond appliances).
