Job description

We are seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of health and safety and 5S within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental health and safety practices, particularly within the manufacturing sector, and will be responsible for helping the HSE manager to implement safety programs, conducting training, and maintaining compliance with OSHA, EPA, and 5S program with HSE responsible help.

Requirements

  • Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards side with the HSE representative.
  • Provide training and development programs for employees on topics such as first aid, CPR, OSHA regulations, and occupational health practices.
  • Help the HSE manager to Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes; prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a proactive approach to workplace safety; facilitate communication regarding safety concerns.
  • Proven experience in an EHS role within the manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and occupational health practices.
  • Experience in training & development related to EHS topics.
  • Proficiency in report writing with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques and 5S is advantageous.
