Job description

We are seeking a Robot Teleoperations Team Lead to supervise a team responsible for real-time remote control and monitoring of robotic systems. This role combines frontline operational leadership with technical oversight to ensure high system uptime, task accuracy, latency management, and safe execution of robot-assisted workflows.

The ideal candidate has experience leading technical operations teams in high-availability environments and is comfortable working at the intersection of robotics, live systems monitoring, and human-in-the-loop control.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee real-time teleoperation of robotic platforms via remote consoles, controller interfaces, and multi-monitor systems.
* Ensure consistent adherence to operational thresholds for uptime, latency response, precision control, and task completion rates.
* Monitor live telemetry feeds, camera streams, and system alerts to proactively identify and resolve anomalies.
* Act as escalation lead for hardware, software, connectivity, or control-system issues.
* Supervise and mentor teleoperators in best practices for precision control, situational awareness, and safety compliance.
* Maintain detailed operational logs and audit-ready documentation.
* Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve teleoperation interfaces, alerting systems, and workflow efficiency.
* Support integration of new robotic platforms, firmware updates, and teleoperation software releases.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in technical operations, robotics, teleoperation, or real-time systems management.
- 1+ year in a supervisory or team lead capacity.

Experience working with:
* Remote control interfaces or joystick/gamepad systems
* Multi-camera video feeds and live monitoring tools
* Incident management or ticketing systems
* Strong understanding of real-time system constraints (latency, bandwidth, reliability).
* Demonstrated ability to lead in high-availability (24/7 or shift-based) environments.
