About the Role:

As an RN Charge Nurse on the PM shift, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing care and daily clinical operations of the facility during your shift. This role ensures the highest level of quality care is maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day nursing functions and staff during your shift

• Coordinate new admissions, discharges, and resident transfers

• Greet and orient newly admitted residents and their families

• Communicate with physicians regarding resident care plans and updates

• Monitor and document changes in resident conditions

• Perform and oversee nursing procedures including IV starts, lab draws, vitals, and treatments

• Review and ensure accurate nurse documentation and compliance

• Provide direct patient care as needed

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant DON to support clinical operations

• Assist in identifying and addressing care concerns, including developing corrective actions

• Support CNA staff in providing care and responding to resident needs

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of California

• Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing care

• CPR certification required

• Ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
