Riverton Hospital Information Desk Volunteer

Volunteer Description:

Information Desk Volunteers welcome visitors and patients to Riverton Hospital.
This is an unpaid volunteer position contributing time to Intermountain Healthcare.

Volunteers provide a welcoming greeting to visitors, which helps ease the nervousness some may feel when coming into a hospital and provides reassurance and comfort.

Volunteers assist visitors and patients through providing information when entering the hospital, making occasional deliveries to patient rooms, providing directions and guidance throughout the hospital.  Helping guests with wheelchairs when needed.

Volunteer positions are currently available daily in three - to- four hour shifts between 9:00a.m.-7:00p.m. Volunteers may choose the day and time that works best with their schedule.  (Not all days and times may be available)

Requirements: A consecutive 80-hour (6-month) commitment, which entails volunteering one day per week for 3-4 hours; Passing a Background Check, TB Test, and Immunization Check. An annual flu vaccine will also required.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years-old and must be fully vaccinated.

Qualified volunteers will receive an e-mail inviting them to a Volunteer Introduction/Orientation Meeting. Attending this meeting is mandatory toward becoming a volunteer.
