Job description

Egis Advisory Service Line is at the forefront of managing large-scale developments for some of the most prestigious clients in the region, including giga projects, municipalities, and other significant urban and real estate ventures. The position will play a key role in driving these visionary projects forward, focusing on the strategic and technical aspects that lay the foundation for successful developments.

  • Prepare and issue inspection checklists and data capture templates for each utility system ahead of field mobilization.
  • Join field visits and record asset condition, vulnerabilities, single points of failure, existing controls and access constraints.
  • Log photographic evidence against asset references and maintain the site evidence pack.
  • Build and maintain the risk register, applying the agreed scoring method consistently and holding tight version control.
  • Draft interdependency maps showing which services are disrupted when a given asset fails.
  • Compile impact data, populate business impact matrices and draft scenario validation notes.
  • Prepare input data for Monte Carlo simulations, including three point estimates, ranges and correlation inputs collected through risk interviews.
  • Run simulation models under senior direction and prepare output charts and summary tables for review.
  • Cross check field observations against as-built drawings and flag discrepancies.
  • Prepare workshop packs, capture minutes and track actions to closure.
  • Draft continuity plan sections, playbooks, incident logs, checklists and reporting forms for senior review.
  • Maintain the deliverable tracker, comments tracker and document control for the risk workstream.
  • Support training material preparation, attendance records and drill reports.
  • Prepare inputs for weekly and monthly reporting on inspections completed and risks identified.
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Risk Management.
  • 4 to 7 years experience, including field inspection or asset condition assessment work.
  • Exposure to ISO 31000 or ISO 22301. Formal certification is an advantage rather than a requirement.
  • Working exposure to Monte Carlo simulation and quantitative risk analysis tools such as @RISK, Primavera Risk Analysis or Safran Risk. Training will be provided to strengthen this.
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills, with the discipline to manage large registers without losing traceability.
  • Working knowledge of MEP and civil utility systems sufficient to describe a defect accurately.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
