Risk & Compliance Officer

Location: Bournemouth

Do you have Risk and Compliance experience ideally from within professional services or inhouse legal teams? This is a great opportunity to join a market leader who are growing and now require a Compliance and Risk Officer to join their team.

You will be 100% responsible for compliance within the firm reporting into a Partner. Alongside helping to assessing and write compliance policies you will also be comfortable in rolling these out across the business providing 1:1 and classroom support to new recruits. Personality is key within this pivotal role as you must be a competent and professional communicator.

The role will be responsible for ensuring an effective internal compliance function is in place and being accountable for it. Providing support to our client, the successful candidate will be IT literate, highly competent and will be able to manage a varied workload to include:

• Ensuring the firm is compliant with outside regulatory requirement
• Perform risk assessments to understand risk level, significance and scope
• Keep up to date and understand relevant laws and regulations
• Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the firm
• Review marketing materials, presentations and websites to ensure compliance
• Assist in the gathering of internal information in response to regulatory requests

Requirements

• Proven experience working within compliance and risk
• Understanding of compliance regulations and quality standards
• Excellent time management skills
• Proven experience writing risk and compliance policies
• Proven experience in implementing compliance policies and procedures
