If one of those applicants is selected for the position, he/she will be required to obtain a Louisiana license prior to appointment. Licensing requirements may be viewed at www.lapels.com.</span></p>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found <a href="https://apps01.civilservice.louisiana.gov/onestopjobinfo/DisplayJobSpec.aspx?JobCode=165530" target="_blank"><u>here</u></a>.<p><strong><u>Job Duties:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Manages, plans, develops, reviews, coordinates, and participates in the execution and operations of the most complex assignments in the programs, including a wide variety of permits and lease agreements.</li><li>Provides technical expertise on plan preparation, design and construction of permitted facilities on state highways.</li><li>Provides project management services for project permits involving a high degree of expertise; establishes, coordinates, facilitates, and monitors permit review teams consisting of department design engineering, real estate, construction, maintenance, and legal sections in the completion of project permits.</li><li>Advises and consults Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Chief Engineer, Attorney General Counsel, local entities, industry and others regarding the programs or individual permits and agreements.</li><li>Analyzes policies and practices for added value to the programs' goals and objectives: recommends the elimination, creation, and/or revision of policies to meet department permit needs and goals.</li><li>Serves as the Department's official expert for permits and JUAs and represents DOTO when conferring with the FHWA, State Utility Coordinating Council, and other federal, state and local governmental agencies as well as private industry representatives.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Position-Specific Details:</u></strong></p><p><strong>Appointment Type:&nbsp;</strong>This position may be filled as either a probational appointment (open to all qualified applicants); a promotion (open to all statewide classified and Agency-wide permanent status employees); or by detail to special duty.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><strong>Compensation:&nbsp;</strong>This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $3,316.00 biweekly.&nbsp;</p><p>This position has a Premium Pay of $5.00 for all hours worked.<br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>How To Apply:</u></strong><strong><br>&nbsp;No Civil Service test score </strong>is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.</p><p>To apply for this vacancy, click on the “Apply” link above and complete an electronic application, which can be used for this vacancy as well as future job opportunities.
