Job description

Position Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care and treatment to residents with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. This role plays a vital part in the assessment, treatment, and management of residents with pulmonary disorders, helping to improve breathing and overall quality of life in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess residents’ respiratory conditions and needs

  • Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy

  • Manage and monitor ventilators and tracheostomy care

  • Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory therapy and equipment

  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and resident progress

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility guidelines and protocols

  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and staff training

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT or RRT) in the state of Oregon

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

  • CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

  • Experience in long-term care or SNF setting preferred but not required

  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

  • Compassionate, team-oriented, and detail-driven
