The Acme Customer Success team delivers a strong influence on the success of each Acme implementation by its customers. The Customer Success function ensures success by engaging with customers in the pre-sales and post-sales stages by assisting in their Enterprise Cloud strategy and architecture. Besides helping customers implement Acme products successfully, the team ensures customer success in fully implementing their virtualized and software-defined data centers. The Acme Resident Consulting function includes assessment, design, implementation, integration and automation services as well as project management.
Acme Customer Success is looking for a Cloud Automation consultant to serve as a Resident Consultant at a large retail services company in Charlotte, NC. While this is a full-time position with Acme the initial assignment is a eight-month residency with a strong potential for extension. At the end of the residency the consultant will continue as a full time Acme Services Consultant or Customer Success Resident.
Responsibilities:
- Act as trusted advisor to customer infrastructure and engineering teams providing guidance as well as Acme and VMware best practices.
- Identify and suggest architectural and engineering changes that would benefit both Acme and the customer in the environment.
- Cross team integration and support for Acme related issues with follow through to resolution.
- Detailed documentation of best practices, processes, and knowledge as related to the customer’s environment.
- Integrate with the Acme sales team for the account, identifying and communicating new opportunities as appropriate as well as ongoing customer status and reporting.
- Training and enablement of customer resources.
- Develop and Implement Cloud Automation for a Web Scale platform.
- Perform capacity planning and architectural strategy activities in concert with customer architecture and engineering team.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as a devops/cloud and virtualization consultant.
- Open Stack cloud automation experience.
- VMware ESXi and KVM based hypervisor experience.
- Deep scripting and automation background, PowerShell preferred.
- REST API programming experience.
- Deep understanding of data center virtualization.
- Deep understanding of storage technologies and data protection technologies like replication, snapshots, backup, restore, etc.
- Deep Windows administration abilities and experience.
- 10 years of experience with Citrix products including Xen Desktop and Xen App.
- Experience with complex data migrations.
- Ability to independently analyze and diagnose highly complex networking problems across different platforms.
- Ability to be hands-on in servicing the requirements of a client.
- A focus on customer satisfaction and relationship.
- High level of comfort performing white boarding sessions and PowerPoint presentations, create best practice white papers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the retail Industry.
- Experience with Acme Enterprise Cloud Platform.
- Acme NPP 5 certification
- Deep understanding of software-defined storage with a focus on distributed storage.
- Migration of workload, both P2V and V2V.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS.
