We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Resident Companion to accompany residents to medical appointments and provide support throughout their visit. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with older adults and is committed to ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and well-supported while away from the community.

Responsibilities

  • Accompany residents to medical, dental, and other healthcare appointments.

  • Provide companionship and reassurance during appointments.

  • Assist residents with check-in, paperwork, and navigating healthcare facilities as needed.

  • Communicate important non-clinical information from appointments to the appropriate staff.

  • Ensure residents arrive safely to and from appointments.

  • Maintain resident confidentiality and treat all residents with dignity and respect.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to assist residents with walking and mobility, as needed.

  • Ability to pass required background checks.

  • Experience working with older adults or in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
