Job description
A leading algorithmic trading company partnering with exchanges and e-trading venues globally to provide liquidity across various financial markets.

They trade c. $250 billion worth of assets every and have one of the largest compute clusters in the world.

The Role

  • You'll be responsible for contributing to all components of the HPC infrastructure and code, and work on growing one of the biggest private compute clusters anywhere in the world!
  • The team write their own filesystems, job distribution engines, orchestration tools and build systems to optimise the way they manage infrastructure at scale.

  • Examples of current projects being undertaken by the group are:

  • Implementing an inhouse-written filesystem
  • Changing host monitoring infrastructure
  • Bare metal provisioning
  • Changing the observability system to a new lightweight high performance metrics visualisation system

Essential Attributes

  • Previous with large-scale-compute. This does NOT need to be in the financial space.
  • Strong programming skills
  • Clear knowledge and hands-on experience with computer networks
  • Using your knowledge from many layers of the technology stack (network/hardware/OS/software) to produce an optimal result.
  • A working knowledge of large-scale distributed systems.
