Essential Functions
-Perform laboratory experiments following established protocols and procedures.
-Prepare and handle samples, reagents, and solutions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety guidelines.
-Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, conducting routine calibration and troubleshooting as needed.
-Record experimental data accurately and maintain organized records of procedures, protocols, and results.
-Compile and analyze data using appropriate statistical and analytical methods.
-Assist in data interpretation and presentation, contributing to research findings and reports.

B.A./B.S. in biology, bioengineering, or a related field required

Licenses and Credentials
Experience
Prior laboratory experience in molecular biology or cell culture, either through academic coursework, internships, or employment 1-2 years preferred
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with single-cell RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, WGS, or spatial transcriptomics platforms.
- Familiarity with handling and processing human tissues.
- Prior exposure to next-generation sequencing workflows.
- Basic data analysis or coding skills (e.g., Python, R) considered a plus.
- Interest in cancer biology, genomics, or immunology.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate will be working independently under close supervision of the principal investigator and senior lab members. The main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Perform molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, and library preparation for sequencing.
- Assist in the collection, processing and dissociation of patient-derived tissues and cell lines for single-cell and spatial profiling studies.
- Conduct tissue culture work.
- Prepare samples for next-generation sequencing and coordinate sample submissions.
- Maintain detailed and organized experimental records.
- Help manage laboratory inventories, including reagents and sample tracking.
- Contribute to protocol optimization and troubleshooting.
- Participate in regular lab meetings and present findings to the team.
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Prepare and present results at local or national conferences.
