We are looking for a Research Fellow to work on a project in the area of cross-border electricity market. The role will focus on cross-border electricity market design, market risk analysis, bidding strategies, and relevant optimization algorithms. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Constructs a holistic model for diverse market participants (including overseas power importers and domestic power plants) behaviour simulation

  • Develop an evolutionary-game based framework for power market dynamics modelling and analysis Design robust market clearing strategies (including energy market and ancillary market) for detecting and mitigating potential market power arising from power importers

Job Requirements:

  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related subjects.

  • Expert knowledge in electricity market and transactive energy areas

  • Research experience with power market modeling, design, optimization and risk analysis.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.

  • Strong publication record.

  • Able to work independently and in a team to realize proposed research work.
