Research Fellow (Computer Science / Software Engineering / Artificial Intelligence)

Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is ranked among the world’s top universities. We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to conduct research in formal verification, machine learning and artificial intelligence system assurance. The successful candidate will develop new techniques and tools for analysing, verifying and improving the correctness, robustness and reliability of deep neural networks and AI-enabled software systems.
 

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop novel methods and algorithms for the verification, testing and robustness analysis of deep neural networks and AI-enabled systems.

• Explore techniques such as abstraction, invariant learning, convex approximation, symbolic analysis and high-dimensional geometric analysis to improve the scalability and precision of AI verification.

• Evaluate the developed techniques through experiments, benchmark datasets and real-world AI applications.

• Publish research findings in reputable conferences and journals, and prepare project reports and technical deliverables.

• Collaborate with the Principal Investigator, research team and external partners, while mentoring junior researchers and students.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a closely related discipline.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and develop novel research methods.

• Proven research track record with publications in reputable conferences or journals.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with good analytical, communication and mentoring skills.
