Job description
The Analytics department at Landmark Bio/Artis BioSolutions supports a growing portfolio of advanced cell and gene therapies (CGT), including CAR-T, iPSC, AAV, LVV and synthetic DNA products. We are immediately hiring two driven Research Associates. In this role, you will develop, qualify, and execute methods for CGT product release and characterization. You will also collaborate with analytical, process, engineering, manufacturing, and compliance teams. This is a great opportunity to learn from mentors while managing analytical tasks in a fast-paced environment to test product safety, identity, potency, purity, and quality including compendial applications. These hands-on, lab-based roles require working on-site at Landmark Bio/Artis BioSolutions in Watertown, MA, with flexible schedules to support technical operations.
Responsibilities
- PCR Testing: Develop, optimize, and transfer PCR methods (qPCR, dPCR, ddPCR) for molecular testing.
- Cell & Proteomic Assays: Support automated cell counters, cell-based cytotoxicity assays, flow cytometry, and ELISA-based testing.
- Extracellular Vesicles and Particle Analysis: Nanoparticle Tracking, Light Scattering, and Nano Flow Cytometry
- Biophysical Analysis: Run and troubleshoot UHPLC methods (Reverse Phase, Size Exclusion) for purity and residual analysis.
- Data Documentation: Maintain precise electronic lab notebooks and draft GMP technical protocols or reports.
- Lab Maintenance: Calibrate lab instrumentation, troubleshoot performance errors and handle routine equipment upkeep.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all environmental health and safety standards while meeting regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of work experience, preferably in a cGMP biotechnology manufacturing setting or equivalent higher degree academic research.
- Skills: Experience with cell/gene therapy, analytical problem-solving, and strong oral and written communication.
- Work Authorization: Must possess valid, unrestricted work authorization and be available to start immediately.
