We are looking for an individual who specializes in Remote Sensing Environmental Hazards. This role involves the use of satellite imagery and aerial data to identify and monitor environmental hazards.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to effectively detect, monitor, and assess environmental hazards such as natural disasters, pollution, and land degradation. The individual in this role will be tasked with providing actionable insights and strategies to mitigate risks associated with identified hazards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Utilize remote sensing technologies to detect environmental hazards from satellite images and aerial data
  • Monitor and assess the extent and impact of environmental hazards
  • Analyze collected data for formulating actionable insights
  • Work with GIS systems to map and understand the extent of hazards
  • Contribute to risk mitigation plans based on data interpretation and understanding of the environment
Required Qualifications
  • Proficient in remote sensing technologies
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Experience working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Understanding of environmental science
  • Strong analytic abilities
