THE JOB:

As a Cook, you will play a key role in delivering the exceptional culinary experiences that define the MGM Resorts brand. Utilizing your culinary expertise and attention to detail, you will prepare high-quality dishes while upholding the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. Your passion for hospitality and commitment to excellence will help create memorable dining experiences, ensuring every guest receives the world-class service and unforgettable moments that MGM Resorts is known for.

THE STARTING RATE: $26.6831/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques

• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment

• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service

• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation

• Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation

• Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service

• Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups

• Work as a team, assist all guests needs and inquiries

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• At least 18 years of age

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cook

• 2+ years of culinary experience in a high-volume production environment preferred

• Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures

• Flexible availability to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
