MUFG is seeking a Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking to join their team in Taiwan. This is an excellent opportunity for you to manage and grow strategic corporate client relationships while driving portfolio profitability and business growth. You will play a key role in delivering tailored banking solutions, conducting credit assessments, monitoring portfolio risks, and ensuring transactions are aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and business objectives. Additionally, you will contribute to team success by supporting performance enhancement initiatives and mentoring junior colleagues.

What you’ll do:

In the capacity of Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking, you will manage and grow corporate client relationships, drive portfolio profitability, and deliver tailored banking solutions while ensuring effective risk management and regulatory compliance.

Strategic

  • Develop and execute business plans for assigned corporate banking portfolios, identifying new client opportunities and driving cross-selling initiatives aligned with departmental objectives

  • Support the implementation of business strategies to expand the customer base, strengthen market presence, and achieve sustainable revenue growth

Customer

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key internal and external stakeholders

  • Deliver tailored and complex financial solutions that address customer needs and provide high-quality service

  • Collaborate closely with Compliance, KYC, Credit, and Head Office teams to ensure effective customer onboarding, risk management, and solution delivery

  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer experience

People

  • Lead by example and uphold the bank’s values, policies, and professional standards

  • Support, coach, and mentor team members, providing guidance on complex corporate banking and client management matters

  • Foster a high-performance team culture focused on collaboration, efficiency, and continuous development

Other / Control

  • Oversee transaction execution, account management, and approval processes to ensure timely and compliant service delivery

  • Monitor and manage portfolio credit risk through regular credit reviews, customer assessments, and risk reporting

  • Review deal structures and credit applications to ensure alignment with business strategy, pricing standards, and risk appetite

  • Lead negotiations with clients on commercial terms, pricing, and contractual matters to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks

  • Support cross-functional initiatives, projects, committee participation, and industry knowledge development to enhance departmental effectiveness and governance

What you bring:

To excel in this role, you should possess extensive corporate banking experience with a strong track record in relationship management, business development, and credit risk assessment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate banking, commercial banking, or financial services

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships to drive business growth

  • Strong communication, influencing, and business development skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and promote banking products

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities to support the development of junior team members

  • Sound knowledge of corporate banking products and services, with in-depth understanding of MUFG’s offerings, being an advantage

  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken
