What would you do? We are seeking a Fraud Operations Team Leader with 7-10 years of experience in fraud operations and people management to lead a team of fraud analysts supporting alert monitoring, investigations, fraud claims, and case resolution for US-based banking and fintech clients. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day queue performance, coaching analysts, maintaining quality and compliance standards, handling escalations, and driving operational excellence through workforce management, reporting, and continuous improvement
What are we looking for? • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. • 6–10 years of experience in fraud operations, fraud investigations, or financial crime operations, with prior team handling or people leadership experience preferred. • Strong understanding of fraud workflows across ACH, wire, cards, P2P, RTP, digital banking, and fraud claims or dispute processes. • Working knowledge of fraud typologies, investigation practices, quality standards, and risk-based decisioning in US payments fraud operations. • Knowledge of applicable US regulations such as Reg E and Reg Z, and understanding of compliance and audit expectations in fraud operations. • Strong people leadership, coaching, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills. • Ability to manage performance in high-volume, SLA-driven environments with strong planning and prioritization capability. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present operational updates and issue summaries clearly. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with fraud tools, workflow systems, reporting dashboards, and case management platforms. •Working Conditions • The candidate must be flexible to work US or rotational shifts and be willing to extend shift hours during transitions, staffing gaps, fraud spikes, or critical operational events, as needed.
Roles and Responsibilities: •• Lead and manage a team of fraud analysts handling alert monitoring, transaction review, fraud claims, and case investigations across multiple payment channels. • Monitor daily queue health, productivity, adherence, and SLA performance, and take timely action to address backlogs, volume spikes, and workflow issues. • Coach, mentor, and support team members through regular feedback, case reviews, huddles, and performance discussions to improve quality and decision consistency. • Handle analyst escalations and provide guidance on complex fraud cases, policy interpretation, customer impact decisions, and risk-based case disposition. • Ensure compliance with client procedures, internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable US regulations across all fraud operations activities. • Review quality outcomes, identify recurring errors, and implement targeted coaching or corrective actions to improve team performance. • Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports on productivity, quality, fraud trends, escalations, and team performance. • Partner with SMEs, quality, training, workforce management, and client stakeholders to support process changes, calibrations, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Support hiring, onboarding, and nesting of new team members and foster a high-performance, accountable team environment. • Contribute to root cause analysis, process redesign, and action planning to improve fraud detection effectiveness, customer outcomes, and operational efficiency.BCom
