Job description

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Registered Sonographer (Ultrasound) for a top healthcare client in Roanoke, VA.

This position offers an opportunity to join a high-performing imaging team known for clinical excellence and patient-centered care. The Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across multiple modalities, ensuring accuracy, compassion, and professionalism in every patient interaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasounds to evaluate normal and abnormal structures of the body.
  • Assess patients before, during, and after imaging procedures to ensure safety and quality outcomes.
  • Operate specialized imaging equipment including CR, DR, and PACS systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the training and development of students and newly hired staff.
  • Promote a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for patients and their families.

Requirements

Education

  • Graduate of an approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Previous ultrasound experience preferred; OR and/or Pediatric experience a plus.

Certifications/Licenses

  • ARRT registry or ARDMS certification required in at least one specialty (OB/Gyn, Abdomen, or Neurosonography).
  • CPR certification required.

  • Strong technical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic clinical environment.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to assist across modalities when needed.
