Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, a member of St. Peter's Health Partners, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical RN Manager to lead one of our Long-Term Care units. This leadership role is responsible for the day-to-day clinical, operational, and staffing oversight of a 40-resident unit within our 160-bed skilled nursing facility.
The Clinical RN Manager serves as a leader, mentor, and resource for nursing staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care in a safe and supportive environment. This position requires a strong clinical background, leadership skills, and the ability to manage staff performance, operations, and resident outcomes.
Position Summary
The Clinical RN Manager is accountable for the clinical and operational performance of the assigned unit, including resident care outcomes, staffing management, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and quality improvement initiatives. The Manager works collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to promote exceptional care and service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily clinical and operational activities for a 40-resident Long-Term Care unit.
Supervise, coach, and develop nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain nursing team members.
Manage staff performance, conduct evaluations, and administer corrective action when needed.
Oversee staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, attendance, and payroll approval.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support positive outcomes.
Monitor quality indicators, resolve concerns, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Serve as a visible leader who promotes accountability, teamwork, resident satisfaction, and employee engagement
Qualifications
Required
Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Associate Degree in Nursing or graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Minimum of one year of RN experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
Prior leadership experience, charge nurse experience, or demonstrated leadership potential.
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Previous Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, or Long-Term Care leadership experience.
Experience with staff supervision, performance management, scheduling, and employee development.
Knowledge of CMS, NYSDOH, and long-term care regulatory requirements.

Pay Range: $99,840 - $131,830.40 annually Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
