Registered Nurse (RN)

The company employs elite teams of acute care professionals who treat catastrophically ill, medically complex patients requiring extended acute care. Most patients are ventilator dependent with multiple co-morbidities. Individual units are located within major hospitals in the South Florida region. Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

1. Assessment, Planning, Intervention and Education. Assesses each patient in accordance with established organizational and department standards & formulates an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the SCU multidisciplinary team.
2. Patient Safety.  Proactively assures safe practice, reports safety concerns and complies with all national and organizational patient safety and environment of care safety standards.
3. Delivery of care and Evaluations.  Delivers care in accordance with the nurse practice act and organizational policies and procedures
4. Demonstrate Professionals role of the Registered Nurse.  Represents the Unit on committees, work groups as requested.
5. Medication Administration.  Accountable for safe and standard of practice medication administration.  

1. Education – completion of a nursing program from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN Degree strongly preferred.
2. Experience – Two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred, however will consider telemetry and step down.
3. Licensure – Current State of Florida Registered Nurse
4. Certifications – ACLS/BLS required
