At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board-certified physicians.&nbsp;</span><br><br><div style="font-style: normal"><strong>The RN 1–2 position, based in the Medicine Unit, delivers professional nursing care and supports the overall treatment and recovery of patients. The shift will be determined by the Department Manager.</strong></div><div><div><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse.</span></div></div>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found <a href="https://apps01.civilservice.louisiana.gov/onestopjobinfo/DisplayJobSpec.aspx?JobCode=112220" target="_blank"><u>here</u>.</a><strong><u>Job Duties:</u></strong><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Provides initial assessment and ongoing reassessment of patient, including, but not limited to, biophysical, psycho-social, environmental, self-care, education and discharge planning factors.</li><li>Provide direct patient care in accordance with the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.</li><li>Communicate and coordinate patient care with the Charge Nurse, oncoming nurse, and other interdisciplinary team members.</li><li>Implement patient care, treatments, and provide medications at appropriate intervals as prescribed by the doctor's order.</li><li>Participate in staff development in-services based upon assessed learning needs.</li><li>Participate in unit meetings, quality improvement activities, and orientation of new RN or subordinate staff members.
