About the Role

The Regional Medical Head  provides medical leadership to Northern Central European (NCE) /Nordic-Baltic (NOBA) region, leading Ipsen’s medical strategy, direction & programs for the medical function across the  NCE/NOBA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional line management to the Medical Directors and support the affiliates/countries in the growth and evolution of their teams and services.
  • First medical point of contact for all affiliate MDs outlined above and will proactively share best practice across the region.
  • Ensure a strong cross-functional partnership

Connect Teams and Drive Collaboration

  • Serve as a bridge (SPOC) between local, regional, and global medical teams to streamline communication and decision-making.

Advocate for Local Needs and Opportunities

  • Represent cluster countries in global medical forums and advocate for participation in clinical trials, ISS, and RWE, genetic testing etc.
  • Ensure local challenges and priorities are communicated effectively to regional/global teams.

Support Medical strategy and Medical Plans implementation

  • Provide recommendations and support for medical resource allocation

Support Launch Readiness plans

  • Coordinate launch readiness (LRR) activities and support medical teams in implementing local strategies.

Foster Talent and Build Capabilities

Drive Regional / Cluster Initiatives, Insights, Medical excellence

  • Lead cross-country medical projects, uncover similarities, insights, and advocate for investments to support cluster goals.

Cluster Leadership Contribution

  • Contribute to the regional Leadership Team, ensuring alignment between medical strategies and business goals.

Qualifications

  • MD, PhD, PharmD
  • Extensive experience as a regional or global medical director
  • Significant experience in cross functional and project management
  • RWE experience is a plus
  • Significant people management experience
  • Project management leadership in studies and audits
  • High thinking dexterity and social agility with a true mission and values orientation.
