MAIN PURPOSE

The Regional Product & Merchandising Senior Executive is a pivotal role within the Regional Marketing & Merchandising department, whose mission is to drive sell-out performance and portfolio productivity across distribution networks and product categories for North Asia region that includes Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Hainan markets.

The role brings a transversal regional and local perspective for Watches category (including Fine Watches: Fine Watchmaking, Collectors and Fine Jewellery Watches). It will play a critical part in supporting strategic direction for the region and ensuring operational excellence (with strong focus on assortment and sell-out performance) at local level. This encompasses direct oversight and implementation for Hong Kong and Macau markets, as well as offering strategic support to the other markets within the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to the implementation of strategic vision to develop Watches category

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for both product marketing and merchandising functions (both at a local and regional level)
  • Contribute to the implementation of the strategic vision to develop the Watch product category
  • Support the definition and the regular updates of the 3-year strategic plan for the region, including sales ambitions based on the latest market trends (direct overseeing for Hong Kong and Macau markets)
  • Lead the translation and adaptation of regional merchandising strategies and guidelines into comprehensive, actionable plans specifically tailored for local markets
  • Ensure all local merchandising activities are fully aligned with global brand vision and regional strategic direction, while optimizing for local market nuances

Drive regional sales performance and Animate product category locally  

  • Provide business analysis (monthly, yearly, ad-hoc, etc.) and deliver key insights to pilot the category at both local and regional levels
  • Collaborate with markets to gather insights on performance, identify collectively risks and opportunities and mobilize resources to address them
  • Prepare comprehensive performance reports, post-mortem analyses of merchandising initiatives, and strategic market feedback for local management and regional merchandising teams
  • Provide expert product knowledge and merchandising guidance to local sales teams, contributing to the development of impactful training materials and sales tools

Support regional & execute local merchandising strategy

  • Support Watches Manager during International Showroom period: before Showroom (benchmark preparation, input file, cluster overview…), during Showroom (updated information to be shared to different stakeholders) and after Showroom (data consolidation, markets’ feedback consolidation)  
  • Support product launches in the region, including communication, training materials, and initial stock allocation
  • Support and collaborate with regional Operations and Commercial teams to define and revise product assortment (by cluster / by boutique) and network strategies
  • Drive consistent and flawless implementation of regional merchandising guidelines, visual merchandising standards across all local boutiques in designated markets (e.g., Hong Kong and Macau)
  • Oversee and optimize local product assortment strategies, inventory levels, and stock rotation in close collaboration with local retail, operations, and supply chain teams

Develop and share regional and local Watches market intelligence

  • Market & Trend Analysis: develop and share regional market intelligence, including in-depth local market analysis, competitive benchmarks, and consumer insights for the Watch category
  • Research & Insights: conduct market research and provide regular updates on market & region happenings (to management and to HQ relevant teams)  
  • Pricing Strategy: prepare and conduct regular pricing reviews to ensure competitive and strategic positioning

Nurture cross-functional collaboration & communication

  • Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to implement strategic actions to boost performance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic liaison for the regional marketing and merchandising team, proactively providing in-depth local market insights and feedback related to product performance, display, and inventory
  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships and ensure seamless communication with local retail, sales, operations, and communications teams regarding merchandising plans, execution, and performance

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in luxury industry, particularly in strong analytical roles (Jewellery experience in the luxury sector is a plus)
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese is highly advantageous
