Job description
JOB MAIN PURPOSE
This position covers the Mekong provinces, and we are open to candidates based in Ho Chi Minh City who are willing to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- Directly supervise, build, coach and lead a team of Medical Representatives within the assigned FLSM territory, focusing on MRs’ core competencies development.
- Propose strategic plans for allocating and improving territory performance based on a scientific point of view and understanding of pharmacy channels.
- Handle Plan of Actions (POA) implementation to meet or exceed expectations and growth targets of assigned Bayer products for the entire FLSM territory, including each individual direct report and channels.
- Drive the team to execute Customer Engagement Excellence, focusing on in-clinic promotion by leveraging Patient Focused Interactions (PFI), implementing off-clinic promotional activities, and improving customer relationships.
- Ensure that all Bayer Compliance requirements are fully understood, adhered to, monitored and respected within the team.
- Manage and follow up on stocks on hand, stocks on trade and business forecasts with strong market intelligence and understanding of trade promotion/push & pull activities.
- Drive adoption of DSO (Dynamic Shared Ownership) behaviors within the team by fostering cross-functional collaboration, shared accountability, and proactive alignment with Marketing, Medical, CEL and Product Teams to maximize business outcomes.
- Embed DSO and VACC into performance coaching, field visits, and POA execution, ensuring consistent translation from strategy to execution and measurable impact on business growth.
- Act as a role model in demonstrating enterprise thinking and scientific engagement excellence, guiding the team to move from activity-based execution to outcome-driven, insight-led actions.
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and lead a team of Medical Representatives to achieve expectations, growth, market share and listing targets for the assigned territory.
- Lead and coach the team to develop customer, product and therapy knowledge to implement the District business plan and achieve growth objectives in each territory.
- Guide the team to execute the right frequency of multi-channel interactions for each customer, backed by rigorous action planning both pre- and post-interaction.
- Drive customer activity reporting in Veeva CRM and take advantage of all available functionality to enhance customer interaction and experience.
- Build strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders in the territory to develop solutions that benefit patients, HCPs and Bayer.
- Provide market intelligence on treatment behaviors, competitors and market trends for marketing in business commentary, forecasting and planning.
- Encourage the team to collaborate with and provide feedback to Field Force/Marketing on MCCP strategies and tactics, and identify potential new sources of business.
- Create a positive high-performance culture through appropriate hiring, talent identification, development, retention and performance management principles.
- Ensure that all Bayer Compliance requirements are fully understood, adhered to, monitored and respected within the team.
- Coach Medical Representatives to adopt an enterprise mindset, balancing individual territory performance with broader brand and portfolio objectives, ensuring optimal resource utilization and impact.
- Integrate DSO principles into territory planning and POA execution, ensuring alignment with cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Medical, CEL, Product Teams…) and maximizing synergy in customer engagement.
YOUR KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from a pharmacy/medical university or a Bachelor’s/College degree in Pharmacy. Any advanced qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 3–5 years of pharmaceutical Field Force experience with a demonstrated performance track record.
- At least 2 years’ experience leading a team of Medical Representatives is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, set direction and deliver results.
- IT literacy, including basic knowledge and skills to utilize computers/tablets and related technology efficiently.
- Excellent command of the local native language, both oral and written.
- English language skills are a big plus.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, self-driven, organized and willing to work extensively in the field.
