The following challenges await you: 

  • Lead the implementation and continuous development of EHS culture, policies, and standards across the EMEA region and support the global EHS Team.
  • Establish a shared vision, clear direction, and accountability framework for EHS across regional sites.
  • Provide functional leadership and guidance to EHS teams within the region.
  • Drive the development and execution of a sustainable EHS strategy aligned with global objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable EHS regulations to safeguard business continuity.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory developments, industry trends, and innovations, translating them into actionable insights.
  • Foster best practice sharing and strong cross-functional collaboration across the EMEA region.
  • Ongoing dialogue with other companies and associations to identify current developments in the field of EHS and assess their benefits for Heraeus.
  • Support M&A activities and new projects from an EHS perspective.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with authorities and industry associations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to regional and global leadership on all EHS matters.

 

Your profile:

  • University degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field
  • ~10 years of professional experience in EHS, including significant exposure to local and international environments
  • Demonstrated experience in leading EHS initiatives and influencing without direct line authority
  • Strong background in EHS regulations and compliance within the EMEA region
  • Proven ability to drive cultural change and implement strategic initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including external representation
  • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
  • Fluent in English; good German knowledge is a plus
  • Willingness to travel within EMEA
