Interprets regional information for use in development of strategic plans for the statewide program. Participates in the decision and policy making process for the statewide program. Must be able to evaluate situations, develop courses of corrective actions and present recommendations. Serve as liaison for the Program Director with agencies and organizations as needed. Provides technical assistance to county office staff.&nbsp;<br><br><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-align: center; text-indent: 0">Employee must be familiar with the regulating legislation for the SC Guardian ad Litem Program and other child welfare legislation. Must have experience with advocacy, mediation, conflict resolution, and Family Court. Ability to interview and successfully hire staff. Ability to monitor employee performance and manage diverse staff and direct program administrative duties in a region of the state. Ability to interpret and implement policy of the program in assigned region. Ability to mediate for case resolution. Employee should have superior training skills. Ability to exercise sound judgement and participate in statewide program decision making.&nbsp;</span><br><br><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-align: center; text-indent: 0">Must be able to work independently, under the supervision of the State Director. Must be familiar with and implement SC Guardian ad Litem Policy and Best Practices in the assigned region. Must be familiar with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to child welfare issues. Must be independent worker with excellent discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.&nbsp;</span><ul><li><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-align: center; text-indent: 0">Supervises staff to include preparing performance planning and evaluation documents and related personnel paperwork. Coaches. counsels and trains employees. Establishes and monitors work processes. Implements management policies and initiatives and promote teamwork.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-align: center; text-indent: 0">Participate in the development of program policy, strategic planning and implementation.</span></li><li><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-align: center; text-indent: 0">Facilitates routine quality assurance measures to ensure consistency in state-wide implementation of GAL program. Monitor court process. office procedures and county offices. Analyzes GAL division data to determine trends and make recommendations in problem areas.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-align: center; text-indent: 0">Oversee the operation of assigned region to include monitoring county performance. Monitoring continuing education for staff and volunteers in meeting the 12 hour per-year standard.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-align: center; text-indent: 0">Establishes partnerships and contacts with DSS. Family Court.
