R&D Ships System On Board Pole Manager

YOUR ROLE

Withing the R&D engineering ship department, your mission consists in managing the pole in charge of innovation of system on board, i.e. all machinery (fuel gas handling system, boilers, reefers, etc) except combustion engine, shaft and propeller, but also safety (firefighting), new technologies (batterie, fuel cell, carbon capture) and vessel connectivity. 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

More precisely, you will lead the system on board pole who is in charge of on your field of expertise :

• Make a continuous audit of existing system
• Review and assess any technology with potential marine application
• Launch, manage and deliver project
• Support concept ships projects (ammonia, hydrogen, carbon captur)
• Support R&D support team on NB or retrofit project
• Support delivery team on the project realization

Your role as manager will be of:

• Organize and follow-up the Projects activities and KPI (dedicated meetings, budget, planning, ressources…)
• Manage the quality of the projects and deliverable of your team
• Become a recognized expert on the field of expertise
• Define a road map on the system engineer part
• Issue periodical reporting to the R&D engineering ships manager

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

• Engineers in Process/Energetic/mechanical:
  o    Generalist engineer knowing physical process and their application in industrial technology 
  o    Digital, electrical architecture and Power Management system 
  o    Project follow up tool
  o    Logic & automation process 
  o    Communication process between various software;
  o    with various software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.; 

• Knowledge on system on board vessel
• Project management experience (Gantt, Project charter, budget)
• Team management experience
• Fluent in English
•  At lease 10 years of experience in:
  o    Oil & gas industry 
  o    Maritime industry
  o    Industrial process 

• Strong international experience, multicultural.
• Basic knowledge of shipping industry.
