R&D Scientist - Thermoplastics

Join our Global R&D team and play a key role in shaping the future of thermoplastic foam technologies. In this role, you will drive innovation projects, and contribute to the development of next-generation products and technologies.

Your Tasks

• Lead product and process development projects for thermoplastic foams from concept through commercialisation

• Develop and evaluate innovative products, technologies, and applications to support business growth

• Design and execute research activities to assess technical and commercial feasibility

• Support the scale-up and transfer of new technologies across global/regional manufacturing sites

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver development projects and innovation initiatives

• Contribute to intellectual property protection through invention disclosures and patent support

• Provide technical expertise, project reporting, and stakeholder communication across the organization

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in all R&D activities

Your Profile

• MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, or a related discipline

• Minimum three years of experience in Research & Development or Innovation within a technical or industrial environment

• Practical experience in thermoplastic processing, including extrusion foaming technologies

• Strong project management skills and experience working in cross-functional development projects

• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities

• Results-oriented and innovation-driven approach to technical development

• Fluent English and Polish, both written and spoken

• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in an international environment

• Willingness to travel ~30% across EMEA manufacturing sites and the German R&D Center
