R&D Chemical Process Engineer

Description -

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative R&D Chemical Process Engineer to join our Ink Development R&D team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of new products, processes, and technologies, while leading complex technology projects. The candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas to life and drive technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize processes for new product development, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

  • Lead the development and implementation of technologies to enhance product performance and manufacturing capabilities.

  • Lead scale-up activities from lab to pilot and production.

  • Manage complex technology projects from concept to execution, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and process validations for new technologies and products.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, and support qualification of ink performance on printing systems and in applications.

  • Analyze and interpret data from experiments, pilot runs, and production trials to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Plan and execute structured experimental programs, including methodology-driven investigations and data analysis.

  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of process and performance issues.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring and guiding junior engineers while supporting their professional development.

Experience and Skills:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering - Must

  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering R&D within the chemical industry, focusing on process development, optimization, and scale-up (NPI).

  • Strong technical expertise in process design, including hands-on experience with chemical reactors, mixing technologies, and at least one of the following: grinding, dispersing, or precipitation.

  • Solid understanding of physics principles such as fluid dynamics, rheology, heat transfer, and material behavior.

  • Proven experience leading complex technological projects and working with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to design and execute structured, data-driven experiments, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools, and process simulation software.
