As R&D Capability Building Engineer within IGTS, you will accelerate the transformation of our software-intensive, medical system design capabilities by combining deep quality expertise with modern, AI-enabled ways of working. This role is pivotal in transforming IGTS R&D into an adaptive, data-driven, and AI-enabled organization.

Your role:

  • Support the process owners to drive the digital evolution of design processes, competencies, tools, and data models—enabling R&D teams to operate at higher levels of quality, predictability, and efficiency in a regulated environment.
  • Act as a catalyst for change, embedding scalable, future-proof capabilities across the organization, while ensuring alignment with global standards, regulatory expectations, and the end-to-end value chain.
  • Advance design capabilities at scale across R&D
  • Embed AI in capability building, learning, process, and engineering practices
  • Drive cross-functional process and capability improvement initiatives (incl. CAPA support)
  • Enable process ownership (incl. audit support) and maturity growth across domains
  • Institutionalize and enable best-in-class and scalable practices through e.g. training and review of project records
  • Leverage data and analytics for insight-driven improvements
  • Ensure compliance while driving innovation
  • Assess R&D related new and updated standards & regulations

You're the right fit with:

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5–7 years of experience in process improvement, quality engineering, or capability building
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance within healthcare
  • Proven experience in change management and continuous improvement
  • Experience in software-intensive or system-level R&D environments
  • Affinity with AI, data-driven engineering, and digital tools
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Structured problem-solving mindset (e.g. CAPA, 8D)
