Job description

Aureol Global Connections is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor Estimator with a focus on Structural projects to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing cost estimates and budgets for various structural engineering projects, ensuring they meet both client specifications and financial constraints. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to provide detailed analysis and insights throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural projects based on design documents and construction methodologies.
  • Evaluate and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure best value for the company.
  • Assist in preparing tender documentation, including Bills of Quantities and scopes of work.
  • Work closely with project teams to track project costs and assist in maintaining adherence to budgets.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify estimation assumptions.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and innovative construction solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of cost estimates and procurement activities.
  • Keep abreast of current industry practices, regulations, and technologies affecting structural engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor Estimator focusing on structural projects.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction materials.
  • Proficient in quantity surveying tools and software, along with MS Office applications.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail in preparing estimates.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional certification (e.g., RICS) is preferred but not mandatory.
