Aureol Global Connections is looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction projects, from initial estimates through to final completion. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed within budget and that financial efficiency is maintained throughout the course of the work. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to monitor costs, review contracts, and perform value engineering. Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor and report on project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial objectives.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of tender documents, including taking off quantities and preparing Bills of Quantities.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure best value.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify any potential cost issues or deviations.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and issues, including analysis of variations and final account settlements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement cost control measures and improve project efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quantity surveying.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and financial management practices.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills for accurate cost assessment.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is advantageous.
