This role conducts inspections, verifies SOP compliance, performs environmental monitoring, and assists with routine laboratory testing to ensure products meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Most of the time is spent performing quality inspections, process verification, inventory audits, and documentation review. Laboratory testing and environmental monitoring activities are performed as needed to support the Quality Department.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

    Quality Assurance & Compliance (Primary Responsibilities)
    •    Conduct inventory inspections and audits to verify traceability of plant and product movement throughout the facility.
    •    Perform in-process inspections and quality checks throughout cultivation, manufacturing, and packaging operations.
    •    Verify compliance with SOPs, work instructions, cGMP requirements, and regulatory standards.
    •    Review records and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
    •    Identify and report quality issues, discrepancies, and nonconformances to Quality Assurance Manager.
    •    Support investigations and corrective action activities as directed.
    •    Conduct visual inspections of cannabis materials for defects, contamination, and foreign material.
    •    Assist with product release, inventory status verification, and quality hold activities.
    Environmental Monitoring & Laboratory Support
    •    Perform environmental monitoring activities including ATP testing, surface sampling, and settle plate monitoring.
    •    Collect and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
    •    Conduct routine quality testing such as moisture content, water activity, microscopic inspection, and other approved methods.
    •    Assist with microbial testing and pathogen monitoring programs after training.
    •    Assist with HPLC and PCR sample preparation and routine laboratory activities.
    •    Maintain laboratory supplies, consumables, and testing records.
    •    Perform routine cleaning, calibration verification, and maintenance of laboratory and quality equipment.
    Documentation & Data Management
    •    Complete inspection forms, reports, logs, and electronic records accurately and timely.
    •    Enter testing and inspection results into quality systems.
    •    Maintain traceability and compliance records in accordance with company requirements.
    •    Support audit readiness through accurate recordkeeping and document control.
    Safety & Continuous Improvement
    •    Follow all safety, sanitation, and cGMP requirements.
    •    Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    •    Participate in quality improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.
    •    Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    Required
    •    High School Diploma or GED.
    •    1+ year of experience in manufacturing, quality, production, laboratory, food, pharmaceutical, agricultural, or cannabis operations.
    •    Strong attention to detail.
    •    Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
    •    Ability to learn laboratory techniques and quality systems.
    •    Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.

    Preferred
    •    Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or related field.
    •    Previous quality assurance or quality control experience.
    •    Knowledge of cGMP principles.
    •    Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
    •    Experience performing laboratory testing, environmental monitoring, or analytical sampling.
    •    Cannabis industry experience.
