Job Summary: 

We are currently looking for a Quality Inspection Team Leader for our new factory in Columbus, Ohio. This production team leader supervises the daily activities of quality operators to ensure that operational and quality standards are achieved.  He/she will ensure that the teams follow documented inspection test procedures for electroluminescence and visual inspection and to enforce best practices.  This position will also ensure that daily goals and targets are clarified to team members and help them deliver results in the most effective way.  

Responsibilities: 

• Supervise the daily activities of quality inspectors to ensure that quality standards are achieved; other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. 
• Coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity. 
• Monitor, report and document quality inspection activities and key performance indicators.
• Identify problems associated with electroluminescence and visual inspection activities for solar panels and laminates, troubleshoot root causes, and develop solutions. 
• Suggest improvement plans to improve efficiency and safety. 
• Deliver and coordinate staff training and new hire orientation. 
• Ensure all safety policies and processes are followed. 

Qualifications: 

• Associate degree in Engineering or technical course with 5 years of experience or bachelor’s degree in engineering or science with at least 3 years of experience
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a quality team leader or supervisor.   
• Preferably with previous experience in electroluminescence testing and/or automated optical inspection equipment.
• Strong experience in manufacturing operations, quality, safety and work-floor 6S standard required. 
• Ability to work under pressure, coordination ability, interpersonal communication ability, planning and execution ability.
