Job Summary

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform failure analyses of motors returned to St. Louis and drive corrective actions with Nidec plants
  • Conduct customer on-site visits to review Quality issues and drive improvement actions
  • Host periodic meetings with customers to review Quality metrics
  • Utilize problem-solving tools such as 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto, etc.
  • Perform data analytics, reporting, and management presentations
  • Respond to customers’ corrective action (SCAR/8D) requests
  • Work with Nidec St. Louis Engineers to support new product developments

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge on Quality Problem-Solving Tools and Statistics
  • Familiar with product reliability testing
  • Experience in motor assembly and manufacturing
  • Willing to travel, U.S. domestic and international
  • Able to work with global cross-functional teams
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, preferred

Skills:

  • Strong oral and written English language communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Data analytics using MS Excel or Minitab

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience:

  • 2+ years in Quality Assurance gained from working in motor manufacturing or similar field
