Daikin Applied is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and direct quality assurance programs designed to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards. Location: Staunton, VA - In-Office

Your Responsibilities:

• Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes
• Participate on plant internal audit team to identify areas for development on existing QMS
• Lead cross-functional product and process improvement teams to identify true root cause and implement appropriate corrective actions to improve overall plant quality and internal and external customer experience
• Review and summarize internal and external non-conformance information by identifying trends in the data and assigning quality improvement projects to direct reports to provide internal and external customers with an unrivaled customer experience
• Frequently review internal non-conformance data generated by Final Inspection team and develop trends from the data and provide data for review by the Root Cause Council for input into Quality Clinic process
• Use external non-conformance data to improve chiller final inspection process to prevent shipment of high frequency escapes to customers
• Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities
• Train, mentor, and lead final inspection team
• Collaborate with other manufacturing sites within business unit to ensure QMS and problem-solving activities are consistent among sites including communication of identified issues and problem resolution activities to ensure all sites have implemented solutions
• Assist the Quality Manager regarding warranty issues and customer complaints for Daikin product

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400 to $136,800 plus annual bonus eligibility in VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
