Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We're looking for a Performance Test Engineer to join our BAU Infrastructure - WTS Quality Assurance team and help us unleash the potential of every business.

What you’ll own

  • Define and execute performance testing strategies and best practices to meet NFRs for response time, reliability, stability, and scalability, including test design, analysis, and optimization. 

  • Partner with Business, Product, QA, Development, Architecture, and Operations to embed performance requirements across the SDLC. 

  • Plan and manage delivery (timelines, staffing, budgets) by creating clear Features/Stories/Tasks with solid acceptance criteria, targeting steady velocity, linear burndown, and high acceptance rates. 

  • Track and adopt emerging performance engineering trends and technologies, incorporating them into team practices. 

  • Lead continuous improvement to increase efficiency and value: 

  • Standardize dashboards with high-level summaries and drill-down to results and defects. 

  • Integrate performance testing into DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Maintain up-to-date processes, artifacts, and tools in the Performance Test CoP. 

  • Promote tool standardization across Worldpay. 

  • Provide technical consulting to select and optimize tooling for fast, productive performance testing. 

  • Align processes and tools with Worldpay standards and modern approaches (including AI).

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in performance engineering, with a strong understanding of performance testing tools and methodologies. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex performance issues. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 

  • Experience with performance monitoring and profiling tools, as well as performance tuning and optimization techniques. 

  • Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
