SUMMARY

Acme’s Platform Devices team is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer who will be an exceptional addition to our Platform Devices team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Acme, you will responsible for building, maintaining and executing automated jobs and test scripts. You will also work with the developers, program and project managers to ensure quick, effective communication of issues and test results. The right person for this role will have a comprehensive understanding of system use cases and effectively report to stakeholders on the quality and reliability of our products. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design, maintain and execute automated/manual console, mobile and API tests
• Evaluate and implement QA tools
• Design, develop and maintain test scripts
• Execute test plans, reports, and contribute to other test documentation
• Participation in both day-to-day software development workflows and release candidate testing
• Regress, isolate, and report issues found during testing

WHAT TO BRING

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent degree or experience
• 3+ years of software/system testing experience and proven knowledge of software engineering practices
• Strong desire for establishing and improving product quality while owning a complete functional area of an application or product
• Knowledge of Linux, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, and source control
• Ability to recognize power-law distribution of customer use cases, team effort, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with iOS and Android development

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Watir, Rspec, etc.
• Experience with a scripting language such as Javascript, Python, Ruby, Perl
• Experience writing and using Python (or any other language) to automate tests
• An affinity for breaking things on consumer facing hardware/software products
• Experience with Jenkins
• Experience working with Unreal or Unity3D
