Quality Assurance Advisor

Our client, Tatua Co-operative Dairy Company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Advisor to join their fast-paced Quality team. Based in the Waikato, this diverse role is responsible for supporting the ongoing application, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality & Food Safety Management Systems (Q&FSMS) across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead investigations into non-conformances (NCs) and verify corrective actions to ensure effective and sustainable solutions
• Support and coach employees in conducting thorough investigations into non-conforming situations
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Prerequisite Programmes (PRPs) and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP) studies
• Partner with departmental managers to ensure PRPs and HACCP programmes are effectively applied to consistently manufacture safe and suitable products
• Provide technical guidance and quality systems expertise across all aspects of the Q&FSMS
• Conduct risk assessments relating to quality and food safety systems, including trials, change controls, HACCP reviews, design changes, and returned material assessments
• Undertake internal audits and support verification planning activities as required

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• At least 2 years' quality assurance experience within dairy or food manufacturing
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
• A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement
