Job description

Responsibilities in Quality Management:

  • Lead, organize, and continuously develop the production QA team to enhance performance and operational excellence.
  • Ensure strategic goal setting and resource planning in alignment with local business objectives and in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the production QA team’s service performance through close collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring effective capacity planning and monitoring.
  • Foster a strong culture of quality awareness throughout the site and with external partners, including suppliers.
  • Oversee and maintain effective support for factory and production processes in alignment with AQL standards (e.g., ISO 2859-1), driving consistency and quality assurance across operations.
  • Quality assurance and quality control inspection to maintain the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • QA/QC inspection and product supervision
  • Audit of the production inspection
  • Quality Development (QD)
  • Monitor and assess variability within the production process to maintain process stability and product quality
  • Lead and coordinate root cause analysis of product defects identified internally and externally to drive continuous quality improvement
  • Ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions to prevent product defects from recurring
  • Oversee and coordinate the complaint management process at the plant to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement
  • Provide support for internal and external audits
  • Process owner for Quality System within IMS and key user of Salesforce.
  • Responsible for budgeting, cost control, and reporting, including quality and non-quality cost analyses.
  • Actively drive and support the development of the quality community across BFS EMEA
  • Lead cross-functional and site-level task force teams in addressing quality incidents and external complaints related to locally manufactured products
  • Participate in the annual management review for Quality and Environment (Q&E)

Responsibilities in Environmental Management:

  • Implement the corporate environmental and sustainability strategy at the site level
  • Ensure the achievement of local environmental KPIs and targets
  • Coordinate the local environmental program and ensure compliance with relevant standards, laws, and regulations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and capabilities across the organization to achieve environmental and sustainability objectives
  • Consolidate and report local environmental data, including waste, water, and energy consumption
  • Support corporate environmental and sustainability reporting activities
  • Maintain the site’s legal and chemical registers
  • Serve as the primary contact for external authorities on environmental matters
  • Act as a member of the Energy Management Team, representing the areas of Environmental, Quality, and Process Management

Qualifications:

  • Master degree in (Mechanical) Engineering, or in Plastics/Metal Technology or Processing, or a comparable field
  • Advanced knowledge of materials science, with a focus on plastics and metals
  • At least 5 years of industrial experience, ideally in Quality Management, Quality Assurance, or Environmental Management within a multinational and/or multi-site organization, including leadership responsibilities
  • Proven experience acting as a business partner within a cross-functional environment
  • Solid understanding of management systems (at minimum ISO 9001, ISO 19011, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001; ISO 50001 is an advantage)
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external auditors
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent Lean Management expertise preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce and Business Intelligence (BI) tools
  • Strong communication skills in the local language (written and spoken) and English at a minimum B2 level
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
