General Characteristics (Job Summary)


  • Performing quality activities in accordance with quality management system established.

  • Establish inspection and test plans and its record forms as per project requirements and international codes and standards.

  • Carry out inspections on discipline responsible to determine whether work performed conforms to quality requirements, and recording its result.

  • Ensure inspection status is controlled through efficient tools such as inspection matrix.

 

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

 


  • Managing and performing inspection of Instrument discipline
  • Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points.

  • Prepare / Review the following Quality procedure documents submitted by the Subcontractors such are Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Material Approval Request (MAR).

  • Prepare / Review / Approve the related inspection reports where inspection results are recorded.

  • Controlling inspection status by using systematic tools such as inspection matrix.

  • Setting and applying practical inspection process of particular discipline based on Project requirements and International Codes (providing ITP and managing Matrix).

  • Control NCRs to be closed out within the due date and supporting to prepare Corrective Action Plan properly.

  • Performing and coordinating inspection with client.

  • Carry out QC Supervisor’s responsibility in his/her absence.

  • Control quality violations through regular tool box talk with the construction team.

  • Review and track material submittals required for Instrument Definable Features of Work prior to Preparatory Meetings.

  • Conduct Preparatory Meetings with Subcontractors related to Instrument Definable Features of Work.

  • Inspect incoming material deliveries by confirming specifications and compliance with approved submittals, conduct visual and measurement tests in conjunction with the onsite logistics team.

  • Reject and facilitate the return of unacceptable materials.

  • Ensure to apply lessons learnt and proper preventive action conducted.

  • Supervise simulation and loop checking of various instruments as per company standards / specifications.

  • Carry out third party valve testing of control valve and PSV valve Execution, witnessing and reporting of all visual and dimensional inspections including calibrations, test showing inspection and test plans related to Instrumentation.

Knowledge

  • Having technical knowledge and familiar with related international codes and standards in particular discipline.
  • Able to check that suitable and appropriate inspection and test tools are used.
  • Investigating and analyzing nonconformities and observations and figuring out solutions.
  • Able to understand or interpret drawings such as PandID, connection list, Hook-up, Data sheets, etc.
  • Having a good communication skills and willing to coordinate with regards to construction issues.
  • Capability of planning and controlling inspections for medium scale project (0.5~1.5 billion dollar).
