[What the role is]
As an Engineer/ Senior Engineer in the Flood Resilience Planning department, you will be part of the Catchment Planning team that is responsible for reviewing infrastructure proposals against the relevant Code of Practices, scheming of drainage networks and performing catchment control.[What you will be working on]
- Perform catchment control to ensure drainage infrastructures are put in place ahead of infrastructure developments for flood control
- Evaluate and reply planning consultations, infrastructure development submissions, temporary drain diversion works to ensure compliance with Code of Practices for Surface Water Drainage and Coastal Protection.
- Engage Qualified Persons/Professional Engineers/agencies on drainage and flood coastal protection requirements
- Review drainage adequacy and develop drainage schemes to alleviate flooding and to support infrastructure developments
- Work with agencies to safeguard and secure the land needed for drainage purpose
- Attend to feedback from stakeholders on drainage planning and coastal protection matters
[What we are looking for]
- Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or equivalent
- Independent, result oriented and self-driven team player with good communication skills
- Candidates with experience in planning and design works would be advantageous
