Overview:


 

This position’s primary responsibility is to perform comprehensive diagnostic examinations of children and adolescents using a biological, psychological, and social approach. The role will collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals for treatment plans and progress.

Essential Functions:

  • Diagnoses and treats patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
  • Prescribes medications and other treatments to manage symptoms and improve mental health.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.


Education Requirement:

MD or DO, required.


Licensure Requirement:

Ohio Medical License, required.


Certifications:

Board certification in General Psychiatry, required.

Experience:

  • Three years of residency training in medicine, neurology, and general psychiatry with adults, required.
  • Two years of additional training in an accredited fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, required.
