Outstanding opportunity for a psychiatric nurse practitioner who is looking for a great career with an outpatient Psychiatry practice that has served the Eastern Connecticut Community for over 30 years. Group has offices in Norwich and Old Saybrook and is currently interviewing applicants to provide coverage in both locations. An ideal candidate would be board certified or working towards board certification, and would have an interest in working collaboratively with a team of mental health providers.

Additionally, the candidate would have to be interested in working in an outpatient practice, and carry a caseload for medication management. Providing psychotherapy as an adjunct to medication management is an option and could be discussed

Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications while providing diagnostic impressions and specific treatment recommendations.

Perform psychiatric evaluation and provides clinical diagnosis. Clinically assess and evaluate patients who present with emotional, behavioral and or psychiatric health needs.

Demonstrate advanced clinical skill in interviewing, observing and collecting healthcare information during time of assessment.

Collaborate with Multi-disciplinary treatment team to develop treatment plans for patients.
