Job description

This role is focused on driving excellence in project planning and controls within SLB’s Process Technologies and Systems team. You will be responsible for advancing the Planning and Project Controls knowledge area, with a particular emphasis on Planning, while ensuring the successful delivery of assigned projects.

Responsabilities:

  • Demonstrates expert working knowledge of primavera P6 version 6.2 or higher
  • Develop a well- built Integrated schedule adhering to the best practices in compliance with industry standards and ability to find and address schedule errors
  • Support for all the aspects of project planning, programming and progress monitoring including information flow, packages delivery and site works by applying formal project management methods and practical applications.
  • Assist in establishing standards for the Project Group Scheduling function including appropriate methods for each stage of project development in a fit for purpose manner. Drive a common understanding of Primavera, its benefits and how it should be used consistently to achieve optimal project performance.
  • Establish appropriate progress measurement, earned value and performance reporting utilizing schedule data.
  • Conduct weekly Planning meetings with Project Teams
  • Perform Critical Path Methodology (CPM) and provide solutions for mitigating schedule risk as it relates to the successful completion of each projects business objective.
  • Coordinate or facilitate Interactive Planning Sessions (IPS) on the larger, more complex projects within the portfolio
  • Support Risk Manager in performing Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis
  • Provide external assurance to project teams and clearly identify gaps between scope, execution plans and schedule drivers. Review and understand the project scopes, develop the schedules to determine optimum program in accordance with project requirements, update the schedules as required by regional teams. Also work closely with core and project teams and provide support for Resource and cost loading, highlighting the progress critical issues to them.

Qualification & Experience

  • Completed bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in planning and controlling of EPC and FPSO projects. Engineering, Oil and Gas industry experience preferred. 
  • Extensive Experience with Oracle Primavera Enterprise (P6) 
  • Has a good understanding of Project Execution, Project Management, PMO and industry best practices, and work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Manage Weekly/Monthly Project Controls Reportioning Requirements 
  • Provide analytical feedback to PM’s on impacts to critical path, lost progress 
  • Manage KPI established by Project Team § Manage level 4 Primavera Schedule 
  • Computer literate and fully conversant with the necessary software to perform specific functions associated with working procedures (P6 Primavera, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint etc
