Job Title:       Project Manager      

Reports To:      Director Project Management CH Shanghai

DepartmentProject Management Team     

Purpose/Objective:

  • Responsible to deliver instruments, facelifts or product life cycle improvements, according to timeline, scope, cost and quality targets, following pre-defined project strategy and VPM planning as leader of a CFT project team

Area of Responsibilities:

  • Project Scale:
  • Projects execution on LCM projects according to roadmap, (small feature enhancement, facelift, VAVE, ...etc.) .
  • Execute on limited scope or pre-defined feature set.
  • Project execution based on pre-defined TG2 VPM.
  • Sub-project execution from one big program.
  • Projects up to L2 PPG.
  • Limited Team wheel in roles/ size.
  • Limited financials calculation (PPV/ VAVE or EOL ROI).
  • Accountable to deliver development projects or major design changes within timeline, budget and quality constraints while meeting scope, quality system requirements / compliance rules under guidance
  • Establish and monitor use of tools for project tracking and management
  • Manage the critical path of the project
  • Identify, track and mitigate on key risks (commercial/ technical) together with the core team
  • Align stakeholders and manage expectation under guidance
  • Ensures all team members understand project objectives, and know their roles and responsibilities
  • Assure Productive use of company standards
  • Ensure full compliance of all executed project activities according Leica and regulatory standards (FDA; ISO 13485)
  • Controls project costs and support preparing accurate forecast on R&D cost and capital expenses under guidance
  • Supports maintenance of department-specific processes and tool under guidance

  • Ability to use Project Management tools and techniques;
  • Expert in DCR process;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Good problem-solving skills and basic PSP knowledge;   
  • Cross functional experience on small teams and/or low complexity;
  • Collaboration skills;
  • Conflict resolution skills;
  • Basic knowledge of key DBS tools;
  • Basic change management skills;
  • Base knowledge on risk management techniques and methodologies;
  • Fast learner able to quickly become adept to new tools and processes.

Functional knowledge

  •    Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.

Business expertise

  •    Demonstrates knowledge of best practices and awareness of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

  • No supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members.

Experience

  • 5 years of experience working in CFT teams for NPI development projects in industrial environment, preferred medical environment;
  • 2 year working experience as sub-project manager in NPI or project manager for major facelift or life cycle projects.

Language

  • Native Chinese & Good English.
